KD+P was excited to work with The Goddard School again. The West Chester Goddard renovation was a different concept that highlighted adding a wall structure to divide the interior main gathering space into an entry zone, a STEAM zone, and a library/chess zone. KD+P prototyped the wall and assembled on-site which helped with the placement and size. By making adjustments and assembling the wall on-site, fabrication could be done off-site. Once completed, the fabrication was delivered and installed over a student-free weekend. The schedule was tight and major work needed to be completed during the week between Christmas and New Years, when the school was closed. KD+P completed multiple designs for paint and wainscot options, while the West Chester Goddard team applied the paint and molding that week. KD+P designed, built, printed and installed the new wall, all the classroom signs, and teacher information boards.
