KD+P worked with the Leonardo's Children’s Museum team over a five year period. We began with an extensive Master Plan that explored the renovation of their entire facility. From there, we began the Phase I design of the lower level, incorporating an opening in the ceiling of the first floor to expand a multi-level climbing experience based on the exploration of oil, gas, wind, and solar power. Phase II consisted of a second floor community, consisting of themed environments dealing with healthy choices, nutrition, and personal wellness. All exhibits are highly interactive and engaging to visitors of all ages!
