KD+P worked on multiple interactives for the Fort Atkinson State Historical Park Visitor Center. The center includes an immersive 2-D theater with thematic treatments with ADA accessibility, a graphic timeline with key events highlighted with interpretive graphics, and group or individual interactives surrounded by historic artifacts on display. Visitors can also participate in challenge activities that encourage guests to exit to an adjacent outdoor area to partake in group or individual discovery activities. There is also a use of audio-visual interpretive media to create historically contextual figures that interpret the center’s story and history.
